As I write this, Brutus is sitting in a recovery suite at the vet recovering from his Cranial Cruciate Ligament Surgery. I have a few hours before I go and pick him up and the real fun of recovery begins.
I am so grateful he is doing well and sleeping comfortably, but I can not wait to get him home and take care of him. Of course, I am not sure how happy I will be about 3 days from now during his confinement, but in the end it will be worth it.
I have added a special page on this blog to do updates on his recovery.
I am very thankful to our daughter Sam, who took at shift at the vet hospital so she could be there during the hours following recovery and to her friend Suzanne, who took the overnight shift. What a wonderful set of people he had taking care of him for the night. I can not express fully how it helped us to know he was being so well cared for.
Here are some pictures of Brutus in his suite. Ah, the wonders of good pain meds.
Cannot wait to get him home. More updates to follow and don’t forget to follow this blog and visit his recovery page.
Til next time!
