Brutus has been on Apoquel for 2 weeks and I can not express enough how amazing this stuff is so far.  Almost all of his allergy symptoms are gone.  His ears still get a bit red sometimes and we are still working on clearing up the stuff on his back feet, but other then that he is free of bumps, crust and itching.

We did have a bit of a scare when the dermatologist told us she was out of Apoquel and would not get any in until mid- May.  Apparently a bit of a back order has occurred with manufacturing.  Turns out our regular vet had some in stock so crisis averted.

While I do still have concerns over the long term side effects as well as the side effects seen in small amounts of dogs in the first year, right now the benefits out way that about 100%.  We spent about an hour straight outside yesterday and without Apoquel, that was unheard of.  Last summer he didn’t spend more then about 10-15 minuted outside a day for playtime just to keep in semi-comfortable while taking just Zytec.  We have started taking longer walks and I will take this gift while it lasts.
