It has been a while not only since I posted, but since I have talked at all about how Brutus is doing with his allergies.  After a very long summer of bumps on his legs, itchy skin and endless allergy meds we were excited for winter.  But alas, Brutus did not find complete relief. The leg bumps and extreme leg itching were gone, but the feet itching, red ears and belly still remained.

After managing it most of the winter with only taking medication once a day, we have decided to go get allergy testing and begin to get him some true relief.  The decision came none to soon.  In the last week, the leg bumps have begun to return and his feet are getting worse by the day.  So tomorrow, Brutus will get tested.  It is very exciting even if it costs more than I would like.

Hopefully we can find out what he is exactly allergic to and come up with a allergy shot plan that will work to reboot his system.  He may never be off of the shots, but I can live with that as long as he can go outside and play for more than 5-10 minutes a day.

Does anyone have experience with Allergy testing and shots with their dogs?  If so, I would love to hear from you.  Until then, I will update everyone after the consultation tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
