Brutus’s mom at the shelter

Oh, how much we love to sleep at our new home!

Brutus’s mom was a American Bulldog / Pit bull mix according to the shelter.  Shortly after this photo was taken and after all her pups were weaned, the owner miraculously showed up to find her “lost” dog. Very suspicious if you ask me, but she went back to her new home. The owner said that the dad is a large mastiff belonging to a neighbor. So there you have it.  Brutus is a Mastiff mix.  he was so tiny back then, it is hard to believe he is 10 months old and around 95 pounds and still growing.  Thankfully, mom isn’t big so he won’t reach Mastiff epic size.

All of my dogs have been shelter dogs.  All spayed, all neutered. That’s the only way to go.  Love doesn’t have a pedigree, doesn’t know about titles and lineage.  Dogs love out of affection, kindness and loyalty.
